Lincolnshire Archives is the public archive service for Lincolnshire. The Archives centre in Lincoln offers an accessible search room for researchers investigating the extensive archive and reference library collections.

Intending visitors must book Search Room spaces in advance. You can do this by telephone, e-mail or on-line via our eBookings system which is accessible to users who have already registered their reader ticket with the search room.

Tuesday - Saturday 10am - 4pm.
Closed Mondays, Sundays, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Eve, New Year’s Day, Good Friday.
Essential building work is due to start on the 2nd June - 4th July 2008.
Essential work is due to start on the 2nd June in the repositories at Lincolnshire Archives to upgrade the control of the air handling units. The work should end by the 4th July. If you make a booking for June and are hoping to consult documents please ring 01522 782040 the day before your visit to confirm that documents will be available.
There will be no document production on Tue 10th June until Tue 17th Jun inclusive due to contractors working in the repositories.
Disruption to document supply should only be for one week in June but to date the contractors have not told us which week. There will also be some noise disruption during this week, hopefully minimal, for which we apologise in advance. As soon as we have the dates, the information will be available on our website, at Lincolnshire Archives and from 01522 782040.
