Lincolnshire Trading Standards offer advice and guidance to businesses on all aspects of Trading Standards legislation. If you are a business who sells age restricted products, for example, tobacco, alcohol, solvents or knives, then you may benefit from reading our Age Restricted Sales Pack (see Downloads).
It has been designed to help you reduce the risk of selling restricted age products to young people who are not of the legal age to buy such items.
The pack includes:
- A general section on age restricted sales legislation
- How to prevent underage sales
- Refusals Register
- Staff training record sheets.

Also attached to the right is a copy of the statutory Tobacco Notice which should be displayed near any counter where tobacco products are sold. This should be printed on A3 paper so that the lettering is at least 36mm high. If you would prefer us to send you a laminated copy of this sign free of charge, please contact us.
