Car
The entrance to the free Archives’ car park is from Rosemary Lane to the east of the Archives’ building.
The car park is controlled by an automated barrier which automatically lifts on vehicle entry. Drivers will need to obtain the exit code from Archives’ Reception to gain exit. There is an intercom from the car park keypad if assistance is required.
Please note that the car park gates are locked soon after closing time.
Do not park outside opening hours e.g. Monday mornings when building or grounds maintenance work may require the use of the car park.
Please only park in marked spaces.
The car park is monitored by CCTV cameras.
There are also two public pay car parks in St Rumbold Street.
Rail
The railway station is a few minutes’ walk from the Archives. Leave the station and walk straight ahead to St Mary’s Street. Turn right and cross the road at the pedestrian crossing (traffic lights). Bear right and follow the road ahead to Broadgate ( a busy dual carriage way). Bear left and continue, passing the bus station and Green Dragon on your left. Proceed as far as the pedestrian crossing (traffic lights). Cross the road. Bear left and then take the right turning into St Rumbold Street. Lincolnshire Archives is ahead of you on the left side of the road.
Bus
The main bus station is a few minutes’ walk from the Archives. Leave the bus station by the exit to Broadgate (a busy dual carriage way). Bear left, passing the Green Dragon pub on your left. Proceed as far as the pedestrian crossing (traffic lights). Cross the road. Bear left and then take the right turning into St Rumbold Street. Lincolnshire Archives is ahead of you on the left side of the road.
