This workshop will enable students to:
- explain how to stay safe at home, including around electrical appliances, and understand the dangers of matches and lighters.
- describe how to plan an escape route and raise the alarm in an emergency, including how to call 999 and what to say.
- identify the roles and responsibilities of the fire service and how they help keep people safe.
- demonstrate how to stay safe in the local environment and unfamiliar places, including firework safety and the safe use of digital devices when out and about.
- show confidence in discussing fire safety and be able to share key safety messages at home.

Hands-on workshops for Year 6 children that focus on protection, detection, and escape in fire safety. The skills and knowledge gained can support children throughout their lives. Schools offering this programme show a strong commitment to pupils’ learning and development both in and beyond the classroom, encouraging access to new information that builds knowledge, understanding, and practical life skills through engaging, real-world experiences.

This workshop is available to all year 6 students across Lincolnshire. The sessions are either a morning or afternoon during school term time. Please contact to discuss availability.
