Apply for a skip, scaffold, hoarding or cherry picker licence

How to apply

You must have a licence to place a skip, scaffold, hoarding or other structure within the highway. The structure must comply with the standard terms and conditions of the licence issued and must not present a danger, cause unnecessary obstruction, or conflict with planned works or events.

A suitably qualified provider must apply for the licence, not a resident. The licence will be issued to the provider, subject to approval. Structures should not be sited within the highway without a granted licence.

To apply for a scaffolding, hoarding or other structure licence, you must read our scaffolding terms and conditions.
