Government services in the UK are split into several levels. Many of the day-to-day interactions you may have with ‘the council’ are actually with your local district or city council, rather than Lincolnshire County Council.
There are seven district councils in Lincolnshire, who amongst other services look after:
- housing
- refuse collection
- leisure services, such as swimming pools and leisure centres
- environmental health
- local planning
In this section you will find details of these district councils, weblinks to the two Unitary Authorities in Lincolnshire - North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire as well as links to all our neighbouring authorities and regional and central government bodies.
There is also a link to the Local Government Ombudsman if you need to raise an issue with an impartial organisation.
