Council Services:

Support for parents and carers

Looking for some extra support or information?

We have contacts that can offer support to you and your family:

  • local voluntary groups offering specialised support;
  • national organisations that can give extra information and advice.

We have information on:

  • financial help available to families;
  • support groups;
  • health services;
  • other information providers;
  • schools;
  • help for parents and carers of children with disabilities;
  • local and national help-lines;
  • useful contact numbers.

We work with other Lincolnshire County Council teams and external organisations to keep up-to-date about the services available to families. Much of this information is now available on-line on the Family Services Directory, though the Family Information Service is always there to help.

In addition, Lincolnshire’s Parenting Handbook ) is full of useful information for parents/carers on a wide range of issues, and the A-Z of Parenting Guide is also full of useful information for families. More information can be found in the Family Support area of this site.

On the Contacts and websites pages you will find a number of national organisations that can offer family support and information. These are only a small number of the local and national services available, so please contact us if you need some assistance.
