Supporting Reasons and Documents

When allocating places for starting Reception, Junior and Year 7 some schools give priority to those who have applied on medical or religious grounds. To find out which schools take these reasons into consideration please read the school’s admissions policy. Medical and religious forms are available in the Downloads tab above.

Applying Online

A pop up form will appear and you will be able to provide further information on why you are applying on medical or religious grounds.

Applying by Telephone

You will need to inform us if you would like to apply or medical or religious grounds and we will enter this information on your application. You will need to post us any additional supporting documents.

Paper Application

Medical and religious forms will be included in your application pack. If you would like to apply on these grounds complete the form and return it with your main application.

Do I need to provide evidence?

The school may require supporting documents, such as a letter from your child’s doctor, a baptism certificate or a supporting letter from your place of worship. Please do not send original copies. For more information on what information a school requires please read the school’s admissions policy or contact the school direct.

Supporting evidence should be emailed, faxed or posted to School Admissions direct. Our contact details are provided in the contacts tab at the top of this page.

Please remember to include your child’s name, and date of birth and the name of the school the information is for.

Other reasons

Sometimes people like to provide additional information, such as why they prefer a particular school, or why a school best suits their child. Although admission authorities can only take into consideration reasons listed in their admissions policy you can still send in other reasons.

If you apply by paper you can include an additional sheet with your application. If you have applied online or by telephone you can email, fax or post us your reasons.
