Term Times and Holidays
Taking holidays during term-time should be avoided wherever possible. You should particularly avoid taking your children on holiday when they should be taking exams or tests.
Don't assume the school will automatically agree to a family holiday during term time. The school will consider your request carefully, and may take your child's attendance record into account.
Schools cannot agree to your child missing more than 10 days in a school year, unless it is for good reason.
