Temporary Library Closures

Latest News - Alford Library/Focal Point opens on 2 February 2016.

Bank Holiday Closures

County Council run libraries and mobile libraries will be closed on all 2016/17 Bank Holidays as well as Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

Temporary Closures due to staff training/workshops/volunteer staffing

Stamford Library - 14 - 19 March 2016

Stamford library will be closed from Monday14th March to Saturday 19th March for boiler replacement.

Temporary Closures Awaiting Reopening

Donington Library - temporarily closed from 30 September 2015

Donington Library is set to become a community hub and to enable this to take place there will be a brief change-over period. During this time, services can be accessed alternatively at Spalding Library. The Council is continuing its discussions with the local community on plans for a Community Hub. They will receive ongoing financial and professional support from the County Council.

Welton Library - temporarily closed from 27 August 2015

Welton Library is closed until further notice to prepare for reopening as a Community Hub. During this time services can be accessed at Lincoln Central Library. The new volunteer-run facilities will be run by Welton Parish Council. They will receive ongoing financial and professional support from the County Council.

Change to Mobile Library Service

Coningsby/Tattershall Library

The library is now closed and has been replaced by a fortnightly visit from the Mobile Library Service. The mobile library stop will be at High Street Layby, Coningsby (LN4 4RB) between 10:30 - 12:30 on alternate Thursdays.

Skellingthorpe Library

The library is now closed and has been replaced by a fortnightly visit from the Mobile Library Service. The mobile library stop will be at the Community Centre, Skellingthorpe between 10:00 - 12:00 on alternate Fridays.

Washingborough Library

The library is now closed and has been replaced by a fortnightly visit from the Mobile Library Service. The mobile library stop will be at the Community Centre, Washingborough between 13:45 - 15:45 on alternate Wednesdays

Reopened Libraries/Hubs

Alford Library/Focal Point

The hub provides a selection of library services and is run by local volunteers and Alford Focal Point.

Boultham Library and Community Hub

The Hub provides a selection of library services and is managed on a day to day basis by local community group, Learning Communities who will receive ongoing financial and professional support from the Council.

Bracebridge Heath Library and Community Hub

The Hub provides a selection of library services and is managed on a day-to-day basis by local volunteers and Bracebridge Heath Parish Council.

Branston Community Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Branston Community Library re-opened on 5 October 2015. The hub provides a selection of library services and is run by local volunteers and Branston Parish Council.

Bridge Community Hub

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Bridge Community Hub re-opened on 25 January 2016 in Bridge Church. The hub provides a selection of library services and is run by local volunteers and Bridge Church

Burgh le Marsh Library

The hub reopened on 5 November 2015 and will provide a selection of library services and will be run by local volunteers as Burgh Reading and Development Centre.

Caistor Library

The new volunteer-run facility is run by Caistor Arts and Heritage Centre, who will receive ongoing financial and professional support from the Council.

Cherry Willingham Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Cherry Willingham Library re-opened on Thursday 15 October 2015. The hub will provide a selection of library services and will be run by local volunteers.

Crowland Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Crowland Community Hub re-opened on 5 November 2015. The library will provide a selection of services and will be run by Crowland Community Hub, with the support of Crowland Cares and local volunteers.

Holbeach Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Holbeach Library re-opened on 26 October 2015. The library will provide a selection of services and will be run by Lincolnshire Co-op with a large team of volunteers. This is an interim arrangement pending a move to a new look Co-op store in Fleet Street next year.

Ingoldmells Community Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Ingoldmells Community Library opened on Monday 11 January 2016. The hub provides a selection of library services and is run by local volunteers and Ingoldmells Parish Council.

Keelby Community Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Keelby Community Library re-opened on 9 December 2015. The hub provides a selection of library services and is run by local volunteers and Keelby Parish Council.

Kirton Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Kirton Library re-opened on 13th October 2015 at 10am, in the New Life Community Church, The Junction, Wash Road, Kirton, PE20 1QJ. The hub will provide a selection of library services and will be run by local volunteers and the New Life Community Church.

Lincoln Birchwood Library and Community Hub

The Hub provides a selection of library services and is managed on a day to day basis by local community group, Learning Communities who will receive ongoing financial and professional support from the Council.

Lincoln Ermine Library and Community Hub

The Hub provides a selection of library services and is managed on a day to day basis by local community group, Learning Communities who will receive ongoing financial and professional support from the Council.

Metheringham Community Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Metheringham Community Library re-opened on Tuesday 10 November 2015. The hub provides a selection of library services and is run by local volunteers and Metheringham Parish Council.

Nettleham Community Hub Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Nettleham Community Hub Library re-opened on Friday, 5 February 2016. The hub provides a selection of library services and is run by local volunteers and Community Talks.

North Hykeham Community Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, North Hykeham Community Library re-opened on 12 October 2015. The hub provides a selection of library services and is run by local volunteers and North Hykeham Town Council.

Pinchbeck Library and Community Hub

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Pinchbeck Library and Community Hub re-opened at 10am on Tuesday 24 November 2015. The library will provide a selection of services and will be run by Pinchbeck Parish Council with the support of local volunteers.

Ruskington Community Library

As part of plans for a new-look library service, Ruskington Community Library has re-opened. The Community Library provides a selection of library services and is run by local volunteers and Ruskington Parish Council.

Scotter Library and Community Hub

The Hub provides a selection of library services and is managed on a day to day basis by local community group Scotter Library and Community Hub (Scotter Forward).

Spilsby Community Library

The Hub provides a selection of library services and is run by local volunteers and Lincolnshire Co-op.

Sutton on Sea Library and Community Hub

The Hub provides a selection of library services and is managed on a day-to-day basis by local community group Sutton on Sea Library and Community Hub CIC.

Wragby Library

The hub reopened on 4 November 2015 and will provide a selection of library services and will be run by local volunteers as Wragby Community Hub, a CCG initiative.
