Council Services:

Daily Living Equipment Advice

Elderly or disabled people can now get advice about equipment which may enable them to continue living safely in their own homes.

The new on-line assessment tool, called Smart Assist, is available through the county council and enables people to carry out a self assessment to see if aids are available which may help them.

To see the self assessment site go to www.my-choice-lincolnshire.com

Examples of support available to help with day to day living includes raised toilet seats, bath boards, tap turners etc.

People who need assistance in their home can perform assessments by themselves or with the help from a friend or relative.

The products can be ordered privately through mail order or local dealers.

Smart Assist also gives general advice about equipment and has links to NHS Choice.
