The strategy encompasses access to information, advice and advocacy to meet the needs of the population of Lincolnshire, particularly people with long term conditions, people with learning disabilities, people with physical disabilities, older people, homeless individuals/families, people with HIV or Aids, people with drug and/or alcohol problems, young people, e.g. those leaving care, teen parents and young carers, women fleeing domestic violence, gypsies and travellers, families and carers.
The target audience , as well as all of the above, also includes community and voluntary groups; staff providing information, advice and advocacy services at a local level; staff providing services and support for people who have additional needs; care managers and people engaged in support planning and brokerage.
We aim to ensure that:
By October 2010 - we have put in place arrangements for universal access to information and advice and;
By April 2011 - the public are informed about where they can go to get the best information and advice about their care and support needs.
