Council Services:

Residential care (personal care only)

Personal care includes bathing, feeding, dressing, and help with mobility, but does not include nursing care where a higher level of medical attention is required.

Lincolnshire County Council can help with the cost where:

  • You meet the Fair Access to Care Services level as per Lincolnshire County Councils Policy
  • Yours savings/capital do not exceed £23,250.

If your savings/capital assets exceeds this limit you will not be eligible for any help towards the cost of your care home and will be asked to pay the full cost yourself.

If your savings/capital fall below this limit the cost of your care home may be subsidized by Lincolnshire County Council but any help will be subject to a means test and will depend on your income and savings.

If you start off funding yourself but after a while your savings drop below the savings/capital limit, Lincolnshire County Council may be able to help with the fees, but please note this will be subject to you meeting the Fair Access to Care Services level as per Lincolnshire County Council policy.

There are special rules for what counts as savings, capital and income. If you are not sure please contact us for advice, or contact an independent adviser.
