Telecare uses the latest technology to support your safety and independence in your own home.
The sensors can detect risks such as smoke, leaving taps running or the gas being turned on but not being lit on your cooker or fire. It can remind you to take medication, recognise when you have not returned to bed-useful if you worry about falling during the night and automatically detect if you have fallen during the day.
When the sensors detect a potential problem a call is put through to a local monitoring centre and the trained staff are able to automatically speak with you to check you are okay. If you need help they can contact the person you have nominated or if needed they will contact the emergency services.
Telecare can also help in situations where a carer lives with you but may not hear if you need help.
