Council Services:

COMLINC

Residents and businesses in Lincolnshire who need to communicate in a different language or in an accessible format now have the ability to use a service being delivered by Lincolnshire County Council Customer Service Centre.

The service offers a cost effective telephone interpreting service and a written translation service, which will offer advice and access to getting documents and leaflets translated in line with Central Government guidelines. The use of community and professional face-to-face interpreters can also be accessed via this service.  Guidance and services are also available on how to use talk type, producing documents in Braille, large print or Easy read formats.

The new Service, Comlinc will offer access to all Lincolnshire County Council services using a cost effective and professional telephone interpreting service via the Big Word Company.

Local residents who have difficulties in communicating in English can now ring any of the Lincolnshire Services numbers and be assured of being able to communicate their needs with any member of staff via the use of this service.

In order to work within the principles of community cohesion, all customers who access this service will also receive information and signposting to learning and improving their English Language skills via the ESOL provisions.
