Economy and Culture Community Grant Aid

The County Council's grant aid scheme is designed to assist the aspirations of voluntary organisations and individuals. It is awarded twice a year and is designed to complement funding from other sources.

The funding round for March 2012 is now open, new Application Forms are available for download using the 'Downloads' tab above

Open to any non-profit making voluntary and community sector organisation, Parish or Town Council operating within the framework of a constitution.

Unfortunately this funding is not available to commercial businesses.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION**

LCC Projects now align to the Cultural Strategy rather than the previous Sustainable Community Strategy. Please refer to guidance notes and application forms for full details.
As a result, we no longer fund Community Activities with a non-cultural focus. Please contact at LCC for details of other possible funding streams.

Levels of funding, annual deadlines, eligibility categories, district partnership funding and application submission documentation. Please refer to individual funding pages for detail.

We are also piloting a new electronic Award Pack for Awardees and request that where possible all applications are submitted electronically.

FAILURE TO DO SO COULD MEAN THAT YOUR APPLICATION HAS NOT REACHED US AND WILL NOT BE SCORED. LCC WILL ONLY SCORE APPLICATIONS RETROSPECTIVELY WHERE PROOF OF ELECTRONIC RECEIPT CAN BE EVIDENCED WITHIN 10 WORKING DAYS OF THE DEADLINE.

Community Facilities Project

£25,000 for Village Halls
£15,000 for Recreation Projects
or 50% of total project costs to the maximums above

Additional funding may be available for the Community Facility Grant Aid from district councils and if so is still available and administered through this scheme (see below).

Community Activities Projects
£20,000 or 50% of total project costs to the maximum above

Short Breaks Small Grants Scheme

  • Short breaks provide opportunities for sensory impaired and/or disabled children and young people to spend time away from their primary carers.

GRANTnet is a user-friendly free to use service which has been devised to assist community and voluntary groups, sports and other clubs, schools, social enterprises and small businesses in identifying funding sources available for specific projects.
