The Government have issued regulations which make it easy for you to access this information in so far as it relates to Lincolnshire. How do we define Environmental Information? Here is a list of topics covered by the regulations:-
- The state of the elements of the environment (air, atmosphere, water, soil, landscape, natural sites and ecology, biological diversity, genetically modified organisms)
- Factors such as substances, energy, noise, radiation, emissions, discharges and other releases into the environment
- Policies, plans and measures which affect these areas, together with many of the supporting papers such as reports and analyses
- The state of human health and safety in relation to the environment (e.g. the food chain), cultural sites and built structures affected by or affecting the environment
Much of this information is readily available, and more is contained within the Council’s Publication Scheme.
If you wish to make a request for any form of environmental information, you may use any means of communication. Your request will be handled by the same system as for and we are allowed up to 20 working days (maximum) in which to respond with the information, unless we agree with you for an extension in order to locate it.
