Council Services:

Bailgate Restored

Seven months of improvements have now finished, restoring Lincoln's historic shopping area to its past century glory.

The £1.18m project by the Historic Lincoln Partnership has been completed by Lincolnshire County Council Highways who now encourage local people and tourists to visit and enjoy the enhanced surroundings.  Worn roads and paths have been repaved with high-quality York stone to bring back the historic feel.  The Roman well and ancient site of St Paul in the Bail have also been refurbished, all by contractors North Midland Construction.
