Report Highway Defects and General Enquiries

Should you wish to report a fault which you consider to be an emergency (i.e. a situation which presents an immediate danger) outside normal office hours i.e. Monday to Friday after 6pm or at weekends/bank holidays please contact the Police on 0300 111 0300.

Lincolnshire County Council, as Highway Authority, is responsible for managing and maintaining the road network in Lincolnshire.  We aim to provide a high quality customer service throughout the county.  As part of our commitment to improving services you can report the following types of defects online:-

Report a highway defect

  • Potholes
  • Pavement/road defects
  • Flooding/drainage
  • Mud/debris on the road
  • Missing/damaged drain or manhole
  • Oil spillage/diesel on the road
  • Theft of highway equipment
  • Overgrown hedges/trees
  • Grass cutting
  • Winter salt/gritting/snow clearance
  • Road signs/white lines
  • Obstructed roads/pavements
  • Graffiti
  • Fly posting
  • Grit bin refills
  • And other highway defects

To report any of the above defects complete the On-line highway defect reporting form.

Report a street light or illuminated sign fault

  • Street Lights
  • Illuminated Signs (not traffic signals)

To report problems with these complete the On-line street lighting fault report form

Report a traffic signal or pedestrian crossing fault

  • Permanent Traffic Signals
  • Pedestrian Crossings

To report a problem with these complete the On-line traffic signal fault report form.

Report a Public Right of Way fault

To report a problem on a public right of way use the separate Rights of Way Reporting Form.
