Under the Transport Act 2000, every local highway authority in the country has to produce an integrated transport strategy for its area known as the Local Transport Plan (LTP). The 2nd Lincolnshire LTP (covering the period 2006/07 to 2010/11) was published in March 2006, along with various supporting documents including the Bus Strategy, Accessibility Strategy and Environmental Report. Development of the 3rd Lincolnshire Local Transport Plan to run from 2011/12 onwards is currently under way.
Local authorities are also required to monitor the progress of their Local Transport Plans. The 1st LTP Delivery Report looking back at progress over the 1st 5 year period was published in July 2006. A Progress Report on the 2nd LTP was published in late 2008.
