Young people in the county have been voting for their favourite books over the past six months.
The winners of the Lincolnshire Young People’s Book Awards 2009 have been announced at a ceremony in Lincoln on the 13th of May.
9 - 12 years category
The winner is Ottoline and the Yellow Cat by Chris Riddell.
12-14 years
The winner is Sundae Girl by Cathy Cassidy
Voters were also entered into a prize draw. The children who won the competition and will get a free set of books are:
- For the 9 to 11 year old category:
Tristan English, aged 11 and Charlotte Baker aged 10 - For the 12 to 14 year-old category:
Kyle Law aged 14, and Joely Bullen aged 12.
