Calling Lincolnshire's environmental industries!
Companies and organisations in Lincolnshire that provide environmentally sound products and services are being offered the chance to promote their wares at a regional event.
Tackling Climate Change
Climate change poses a genuine threat to our planet and to Lincolnshire.
Amongst the effects predicted are more extreme weather events, increased temperatures, and rises in sea level. These will have economic, social and environmental impacts.
The scale of the challenge means that all sectors of the community have to be involved if we are to meet targets for reducing emissions and adapting to climate change. Local Authorities in particular have a crucial role to play in responding to this challenge.
In May 2009, a Local Climate Impact Profile (LCLIP) was conducted for the council and its services. This enabled LCC to reach Level 0 of NI 188 'Planning to Adapt to Climate Change'. To find out more please see - Lincolnshire LCLIP Report under Downloads.
