Supporting People fund housing related support services across Lincolnshire to help people live more independently in their home
How is it funded?
We are given a grant by the Department for Communities and Local Government each year. This is used to fund our work. We do not provide any services ourselves
Who Can Supporting People Help?
Many different people can receive housing related support, this includes:
- Homeless individuals/families, including rough sleepers
- Older people
- People with a learning, physical or sensory disability
- People with mental health problems
- People with HIV or Aids
- People with drug and/or alcohol problems
- Ex-offenders or those at risk of offending
- Young people, e.g. those leaving care & teen parents
- Women fleeing domestic violence
- Gypsies and Travellers
What Type of Support Can Be Provided?
We fund a number of different types of housing related support services, including:
- Floating Support - a support worker / mobile warden will visit someone in their own home
- Supported Housing / sheltered housing - support is provided within accommodation
- Community Alarms / pull cord - used in a emergency and a call will go through to a call centre for assistance
Housing related support can include:
- Help with claiming benefits and filling in forms
- Helping you to get the skills you need to maintain your own tenancy
- Advising and helping you to get other services you need
