Lincolnshire Archives is the public archive service for Lincolnshire. The Archives centre in Lincoln offers an accessible search room for researchers investigating the extensive archive and reference library collections.
Visit the various sections on this website to find out more about the collections, research and copying services and guidance on how to get the most out of your search room visits.
Intending visitors must book Search Room spaces in advance. You can do this by telephone, e-mail or on-line via our eBookings system which is accessible to users who have already registered their reader ticket with the search room.
The Search Room is open Tuesday-Saturday, 10am-4pm, excluding public holidays, Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve. A CARN reader ticket is required for entry to the Search Room. Please see the "Visiting the Archives" link to find out more about the reader ticket and booking systems, our location, and our facilities.
As part of efforts to increase access to this collection, some of the holdings of Lincolnshire Archives are available to search online through Cultural Collections . For more information on Cultural Collections see: Searching Cultural Collections
