Council Services:

A1073 - Spalding to Eye Improvement

The A1073 is an important strategic link between Lincolnshire and Eastern England for the distribution of both agricultural and food processing freight and as a local commuter route.

These works are now complete and the final section of road opened on 16 October 2011. The new road is classified as the A16, with the existing A16 between Spalding and Stamford becoming the A1175. The existing A1073 will generally become an unclassified road.

At the end of October 2012 we carried out a series of post opening surveys in the local area and held drop in sessions at Crowland library to gain views on the new A16 one year on from opening. The results of these surveys will be included in a report that will be available to download from the website in early 2013.

Under Freedom of Information, for documents relating to this scheme please see the Planning Process link below.
