A1073 - Spalding to Eye Improvement

The A1073 is an important link between Lincolnshire and Eastern England for the distribution of both agricultural and food processing freight and as a local commuter route.

The road was officially opened in October 2011. The new road is classified as the A16, with the existing A16 between Spalding and Stamford becoming the A1175. The existing A1073 has become an unclassified road.

At the end of October 2012 a series of surveys were carried out in the area and drop-in sessions were held at Crowland Library to gain views on the new A16 one year on from opening. The results can be found in the downloads section below.
