Visiting Lincoln Castle
We are currently making repairs to the south curtain wall of Lincoln Castle, which has suffered water damage over the years. The aim is to have this completed ahead of the winter. During the work, the area to the south of the prison building will be inaccessible by the public to ensure safety. This means visitors will not be able to enter Lucy Tower or the Observatory Tower. However, they will still be able to enjoy the many other aspects the castle has to offer.

Lincoln Castle is open throughout the year closing only for Christmas and New Year celebrations, so whether you visit the city during the Summer or Winter, rain or shine, you will always find a warm welcome at the home of Lincoln’s Cultural Heritage.
