What's On at Lincoln Castle

Lincoln Castle presents a full and varied events programme every year. Usually running from April to the end of August.

Visitors to Lincoln Castle can experience Historical Re-enactments, children’s Fun Days, and Open-air Theatre.

A Right Royal Visit

Sunday June 3rd 10am – 6pm and Monday June 4th 10am – 6pm
Last admission 5.15pm

The daytime events on Sunday and Monday will have a wide range of entertainment in the Castle grounds. There will be medieval re-enactments from Lincoln Castle Garrison and the Buckingham’s Retinue, walkabout acts and musicians. John Nesfield’s Retinue will also perform several horse display shows throughout the course of the day.

Admission prices for daytime event

£7 adults
£5 concessions
£19 family ticket (two adults and up to three concessions)
Under 5’s FREE

Please note tickets can only be requested for this event until Wednesday 30th May at 12pm, after which time no more tickets will be issued.

A Right Royal Visit – Beacon Lighting

Monday June 4th 7pm – 11pm (Beacon lighting approximately 10.15pm)

After the festivities of the day the Castle grounds will reopen at 7pm for further entertainment and the lighting of honorary beacons for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.

PLEASE NOTE – no alcohol will be permitted inside the castle grounds, no naked flames, no dogs except assistance dogs

Vintage Vehicle Rally

Sunday June 10th
10am - 6pm

See how motoring used to be, with over 200 classic and vintage vehicles packed into the grounds of the Castle.
Lincoln Castle’s very own Stig may even make an appearance!

Victorian Weekend

Saturday June 16th and Sunday June 17th
10am – 6pm
Last admission at 5.15pm

The Castle welcomes a weekend of Victorian entertainment, including a visit from a Royal of the past.
