Visiting the Museum of Lincolnshire Life
All the information you need to plan your visit to the museum.
Admission to the Museum of Lincolnshire Life and Ellis Windmill is free.
The museum is open throughout the year:
- Monday - Sunday (April - September) 10am - 4pm, last admission 3.30pm
- Monday - Saturday (October - March) 10 am - 4pm, last admission 3.30pm
The museum will be closed 24-26 December, 28 and 31 December 2014 and 1 January 2015.
The Gatehouse Tearoom will be closed on 23 December and 30 December. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
Ellis Mill is open during the following periods:
- Saturday and Sunday only (April - September) 2pm - 5pm
- Sunday only (October - March) 2pm - Dusk

Located in the ‘uphill’ area of Lincoln on the edge of the Cathedral Quarter and only 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral and Castle.
Our gift shop sells unusual gifts and toys, period postcards and a wide range of heritage books.
The museum has its own free parking facility at the front and side of the museum.
