    Are you interested in the Victorians and would like to discover how we can find about this fascinating period which saw so many changes and developments? A new WEA course starting in Lincoln on Thursday 28th September at the Museum of Lincolnshire Life will explore how we can use a variety of evidence to find out about everyday life in the Victorian period. Photographs, written evidence and artefacts will all form part of the course as will exploring the Museum itself. This is an introductory course and prior knowledge is not expected. Topics covered will include: an overview of the period and Victorian Lincolnshire, Houses and Homes, an overview of everyday life in the town and country, Transport and Industry, Children, rich and poor, school, learning, toys and games, Victorian Christmas and popular entertainment. In addition, we will look at Victorian Society and some Lincolnshire personalities and Working the Land, an important occupation then as now.
