    This is a short, friendly and informal course organised by the WEA to which everyone is welcome. Students will learn how to gain knowledge about what life was like in nineteenth century England using a variety of evidence including photographs, maps, written evidence and artefacts. Topics covered will include:

    Victorian Lincolnshire, an introduction to the period and the historic county.

    Houses and Homes, an overview of everyday life in town and country.

    Transport and Industry, the impact of the railway and other means of transport.

    Children, rich and poor, school, learning, toys and games.

    Victorian Society, rich and poor, some Lincolnshire personalities.
