Council Services:

Getting involved in local care services

If you are a resident or professional in Lincolnshire, we want to make sure you have the opportunity to influence decisions and have your say about services.

Healthwatch

Healthwatch Lincolnshire is an independent consumer organisation, which has been created to gather and represent the views of adults and children in Lincolnshire. They do this by:

  • providing you with the opportunity for you to have your say about experiences of local health and social care services
  • enabling local service providers to have an opportunity to hear your views and respond to them
  • inviting you to be the eyes and ears of the services, enabling Healthwatch Lincolnshire to monitor care
  • pointing you in the direction of the local services which may be able to help you
  • maintaining a network of local community and countywide care services for the benefit of local people
  • providing Healthwatch England with the intelligence and insight it needs to perform effectively and provide national guidance and influence

Lincolnshire Health and Care

Care and health organisations in Lincolnshire developed a model intended to enable people to access the right services at the right time. Lincolnshire Health and Care’s aims are:

  • quality, safety and sustainability for health and care services
  • improved joint-working for health and care professionals
  • providing the right care at the right time from providers who are closer to your home
  • seven days a week services for local people through ‘community neighbourhood teams’, supported by urgent care centres across the county
  • hospitals ‘freed up’ to provide specialist for genuine emergency trauma and time-critical services

Lincolnshire Health and Care want to hear your views; you can contact them by visiting their website.

Community consultation

Lincolnshire County Council regularly asks members of the public for their views and opinions to inform decision making across all services provided by the Council.
