Adult Safeguarding Learning Gateway

The Adult Safeguarding Learning Gateway enables access to online courses and face to face learning events for people working with adults in Lincolnshire.

Working with Virtual College and Lincolnshire Safeguarding Children Board, a selection of modules are provided which can be undertaken from any computer with internet access. This helps to overcome some of the geographical challenges of living and working in Lincolnshire and means that as many people as possible can take part in training.

The Safeguarding Adults modules and face to face training is free for Lincolnshire’s organisations who are working to help safeguard adults.

Benefits of the e-learning

  • E-Learning is flexible learning at a time and place that is convenient to the learner.
  • Learner’s progress through the course is recorded. This means that learners do not have to complete a whole module in one sitting.
  • Learners can refer back to completed modules at any time.
  • Learners can download their pass certificate once they have achieved the 75% pass mark.

Getting started

Learners will need to have access to a computer with an internet connection.

The modules have been developed using the latest Flash technology, which means that Flash Player will need to be installed on your computer. This software is free and can be downloaded from the internet. A link to download Flash Player is included with the training material.

Go to and register as a New User. You will be asked to select a username and will be allocated a password to begin your e-learning.

Guidance on how to access the e-learning gateway is available in the Learning Gateway Set-Up Guide.

Other Safeguarding Workforce related information can be accessed via Lincolnshire Safeguarding Adults Board (LSAB) Workforce Matters.
