If you are paying the full cost of your care, you are known as a self-funder. This means that:
- you have chosen not to approach adult care for help
- you have been assessed but you are not currently eligible for services
- you are eligible for services but you have assets or savings over £23,250
- you have chosen not to declare your finances
If you go into a care home as a self-funder, you should contact us first. We can still provide an adult care assessment.
You may wish to take legal advice from a solicitor to assist you with any proposed arrangements.
