Order a certificate

To apply for a birth, death, marriage or civil partnership certificate, the event must have taken place in Lincolnshire.

If not, you must apply to the correct district or the General Register Office.

Standard certificates fee

These cost £11 and can be ordered online, by phone or by post. They will be posted to you second class within five working days.

Express certificates fee

These cost £35 and can be ordered online or by phone. Delivery options include:

  • next day delivery (orders must be received by 1pm, Monday to Thursday)
  • collection from Lincolnshire Archives at 10.30am or 2.30pm, Tuesday to Friday
  • emailed to you as a scanned JPEG, with the original posted first class
