Coastal Action Zone

The Coastal Action Zone is OPEN FOR APPLICATIONS to distribute LEADER funding from the Rural Development Programme for England (RDPE) 2014-2020, across the coastal area of East Lindsey, to businesses and community groups who will make a contribution to growing the rural economy.

Local businesses, farmers, foresters and those involved in tourism, heritage and community initiatives can apply for grants to support activities that will boost the rural economy. This includes creating new jobs, growing businesses, increasing tourism and heritage visitors or providing new services in rural areas.

The Lindsey Action Zone is currently recruiting new Local Action Group members from Business, Tourism, Heritage or Rural Services sectors. Please contact for further information.

    Increase farm productivity

    These grants will support a wide range of farm investments. They are particularly for businesses that want to invest in innovative business practices and new technologies to help them become more sustainable and productive.

  • Access Lincoln - supporting businesses

    Micro and small businesses and farm diversification

    These are projects (for example, contracting services) that will create jobs and growth in the rural economy.

    Rural tourism

    Provide rural services

    Projects should make a contribution to growing the local economy. They could include, the development of community buildings, public spaces, or cultural or tourism amenities.

    Culture and Heritage

    They will create a sense of local identity through raised awareness of their importance; and/or helps protect cultural heritage features against damage and degradation.

  • Working area

    Support for increasing forestry productivity

    More than 80% of England’s woods are privately owned. Funding under LEADER will aim to deliver permanent new supply chains and jobs that, at the same time, restore regular management to local woods and encourage a greater degree of added value to the timber output.
