Early Years Entitlements

All eligible children are able to take up high quality early education, supporting their preparation for school readiness.


  • 2 Year Olds

    Free childcare for eligible 2 year olds provides up to 15 hours per week during term time or 12 hours per week over 48 weeks per year.

  • 3 and 4 Year Olds

    Early education places offering 570 hours a year over no fewer than 38 weeks for all eligible children in Lincolnshire

  • 30 Hours Free Childcare

    The government has committed to doubling the amount of free childcare from 15 hours to 30 hours per week for working families from September 2017.

  • Early Years Pupil Premium

    Closing the gap between children from disadvantaged backgrounds by providing funding to early years providers to help them.

  • Early Years Single Funding Formula

    Early Years Entitlement funding is allocated on a termly basis using the number of hours each child receives up to 15 hours free entitlement.

  • Registration and Delivery

    Guidance and information on registering to deliver funded places, and how to offer flexible, accessible childcare.

  • Supported Childcare Funding

    SCF is targeted to support short term access to childcare as part of a holistic family support plan working with professionals.
