What the funding covers

If we approve your application, we will carry out and pay for:

  • the flood hazard assessment
  • the property survey
  • PFR options development

Work cost will vary across property types as fees are generally proportional to the complexity of local flood risk. For example, some properties may only have one external door, while others may have three.

Listed building and conservation areas

We need a heritage statement report before any PFR works are undertaken for properties that are:

  • of Listed Building status, or
  • within a designated Local Planning Authority (LPA) Conservation Area

A heritage statement usually costs around £1,500, and we will pay for it.

To find out if your property is within a designated Local Planning Authority Conservation Area, check with your local city, borough or district council.

The installation of specific PFR measures may need planning and building regulation applications. Where required, the contractor will carry out this work, and we will pay for it.
