Welcome to social work in Lincolnshire
For the first time ever, we have the freedom to take action based on professional judgement and experience.
We’re establishing a system that’s guided by what’s best for children, not a tick-box exercise in bureaucratic restrictions.
What’s more is that what we’re doing here will be used as a blueprint for excellence to be rolled out transforming the lives of children not only here in Lincolnshire, but across the UK.
This is an opportunity to rewrite the rulebook. And that means we need the support, insight and input from experienced social workers who are highly-driven and passionate about putting children first. Social workers who’ll bring ideas and innovation to the table.
At the moment, we’re specifically looking for social workers, practice supervisors, advance practitioners and team managers. So, if you’d like the opportunity to bring about the changes that you think we should make, we’d love to hear from you.
Welcome from Debbie Barnes, director of children's services
“Now is an exciting time to join Lincolnshire County Council as we’ve undergone transformational change to improve the way we work. This has positioned us well to provide stability and continuity to our workforce, so that our aspirations for children and families can continue to be delivered.
“We’ve put systems in place to enable you to enhance your skills and invest in your training and development, with clear career progression routes. We also have an experienced management team in place to support all of our staff and provide clear operational direction and strategic vision to continue our journey of sustaining excellence."
“Safeguarding vulnerable children requires highly skilled, dedicated and qualified social workers to promote and protect their interests. If you’re committed and passionate in developing and delivering outstanding services to children, young people and their families then I’d be delighted to invite you to make an application to join us.”
