Council Services:

Online Safety Takeaway Lessons

During the first part of 2017, the LSCB hosted 2 successful development days with young people from Lincolnshire schools. The purpose of our development days was to capture the thoughts of students around the subject of online safety and support them in producing lessons which could be used in secondary schools around the county, ensuring that online safety information in lessons covers the subjects they are concerned about and is delivered in the way they feel best suits them. We gave the students a taster of what activities could be done and asked them to show us what a good online safety lesson would look like.

What a good lesson looks like

The result of their hard work is now available to download from the ‘Campaigns, Resources and Briefings’ section of our website. These 5 ‘Takeaway’ lesson are now ready for schools to use with students and come supplied with all the resources needed to deliver them straight away. These lessons can be delivered using whatever time is available during the school day, whether it’s only 20 minutes or a full hour, or can be used to enable young people to deliver the information to their peers.

The LSCB would like to thank all schools who helped to produce these resources but would especially like to thank all the students whose hard work and enthusiasm made this possible
