Master an apprenticeship in 2023!

It's National Apprenticeship Week #NAW2023

National Apprenticeship Week takes place from 6 - 12 February, and the council is again, letting Lincolnshire residents know about the huge variety of apprenticeships on offer across the county.

The council has its own apprenticeship programme as well as supporting other organisations to develop apprenticeships to help fill job vacancies and develop the workforce for the future.

The council offers more than 70 different apprenticeship pathways available to employees at all stages of their working lives. From intermediate and advanced Level 2 and 3 options all the way to higher level and Degree Level 4-7 opportunities.

Cllr Patricia Bradwell, executive councillor for adult learning at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “Apprenticeships offer a great way of developing your expertise and knowledge and progression in your career. We’ve been really successful at ‘growing our own’ staff in varied jobs such as social work and Trading Standards.

“We also help fund apprenticeships in businesses and organisations across Lincolnshire through our Apprenticeship Levy Gifting Scheme.”

There are opportunities available with training providers and employers in lots of different industries across Lincolnshire.

Clare Hughes Employment & Skills Executive Manager for the Greater Lincolnshire LEP, said: “Locally over 6,000 adults and young people start an apprenticeship every year, offered by businesses all over the county, in a range of subjects from accounting and business administration to construction and engineering.  Apprenticeships are a fantastic way for anyone at any age to learn while they earn.”

If you know an apprentice, training provider or employer worthy of recognition, you might want to nominate them for the Apprenticeship Champion Awards 2023.
