The final 14-tonne and 20-tonne bridge beams for the new A1 connection to the B1174 were lifted into place in February.
What we achieved in February
- Installed the final 14-tonne and 20-tonne bridge beams for the new A1/B1174 connection
- Carried out essential site clearance works to the A1
- Continued steel and concrete works to the new A1/B1174 connection
- Started laying road surfacing at the eastern roundabout
- Continued earthworks across site, particularly at western end of the scheme
- Continued Phase Three Anglian Water watermain diversion and BT ducting
- Continued post-excavation archaeological reporting
