Download the Active 10 app to help you keep active this September

Lincolnshire residents are being encouraged to get more active this autumn

Lincolnshire residents are being encouraged to get more active this autumn with Public Health England’s new app.

The ‘One You’ campaign aims to get people walking briskly every day in bursts of ten minutes or more by using new Active 10 mobile app.

At least one good brisk walk a day has been shown to help prevent cancer, heart disease and improve mood as well as lowering the risk of type 2 diabetes.

Fitting in exercise around everyday life isn’t always easy but small changes can have huge benefits to your health. Walking to the shops instead of driving or going for out for your lunch break each day can make a huge difference.

Keep track of your activity and how much walking you are doing by downloading the Active 10 app.

The app shows where you can fit ten-minute bursts of brisk walking into your day, alongside help to set walking goals and hints and tips to keep you going.

Find out more about ‘Active 10’ and download the app.
