Drivers urged to take extra care on B1202 at Kingthorpe

Motorists are being warned to drive with caution on a potentially icy section of road.

Darrell Redford, network resilience manager, said: “Although our gritters have treated the B1202 at Kingthorpe, there is currently water running off one of the fields that is washing the salt off the carriageway. That means that, even though we are continuing to re-grit the road, there is still a possibility that ice will form. We are putting out some warning signs to alert motorists and advise them to take extra care when using this route.”
