LincUpLive, held on October 24 throughout the day at the DoubleTree by Hilton, saw a dedicated team, Onlincolnshire and participation from audience members, get the event’s hashtag #LUL360 reaching the number one spot for the most tweeted topic in the UK that day.

Posts, pictures and videos on Facebook also reached accounts more than 2,700 times.

Onlincolnshire also live-streamed all the keynote speakers as they took to the stage via this website, with people logging on to watch from across the UK, and as far away as Canada and France.

Short clips from the project’s Lincolnshire Technology Hubs were also broadcast via online channels throughout the day, while a slideshow displayed photos of events Onlincolnshire has helped bring to the masses.

Video clips and interviews were also added to the Onlincolnshire YouTube channel throughout the day.

Speakers this year included Redg Snodgrass, founder of Stained Glass, a wearable-technology incubator based in Silicon Valley, who brought a Google Glass device.

Also taking to the stage was Steve Middleborough, Director of Engineering at Siemens, and Wayne Gibbins, an associate at funding company Notion Capital.

Organiser Glenn Le Santo said: “This event was our most successful to date, we are very pleased with how well it went.

People attending were able to get some really valuable insights into how to make the most of emerging technologies and improve their business.

The Onlincolnshire involvement helped us to reach even more people through the live streaming of the keynote speakers and the constant videos being uploaded to YouTube.”

Councillor Colin Davie, Executive Member for Economic Development at Lincolnshire County Council, said: “The success of this event just shows that Lincolnshire’s time has come. This has been one of the most popular events we have ‘wired’.

It provided the perfect setting to help demonstrate the power of the internet and the work we have been doing to help people across the county get better connected.”
