Temporary multi-way traffic signals will be in place

The improvements, which started on Monday 9 October, are being carried out over the course of 11 evenings between the hours of 8pm and 6am, Monday to Friday, subject to reasonable weather conditions.

Temporary multi-way traffic signals will be in place for the duration of the works, in addition to a series of road closures, each with its own diversion route. Signage will also be in place on the A15 to inform road users of the upcoming works and closures.

A detailed programme of closures will be made available on www.lincolnshire.gov.uk/roadworks when available.

People can also visit roadworks.org for up-to-date timescales, traffic management and diversion routes.

A highways spokesperson said:

“The improvements we’re carrying out on the A15 near Grange de Lings are essential to keeping the local road network up-and-running. Taking care of essential maintenance now, as part of one package, will mean less disruption for residents and commuters in the future.

“We intend to do everything we can to minimise the impact these planned improvements might cause. However, due to the nature of the works, there will inevitably be some disruptions, so we ask residents and road users to remain patient, as any short-term inconvenience will be greatly outweighed by the long-term benefits.”

These improvements are being funded using part of the £5.4m allocated to the authority by the Department of Transport (DfT) from its National Productivity Investment Fund. The money was awarded to help reduce congestion at key locations, upgrade or improve the maintenance of local highway assets, improve access to employment and housing, and develop economic and job creation opportunities.
