Boston Children's Centre

Our well-resourced and welcoming Centre offers many services and opportunities for families with children of 0 - 5 years.

As well as lots of play and fun activities for children Norfolk Lodge Road Children’s Centre is committed to supporting parents and carers regardless of background or family circumstances, offering information and support from professionals working in a wide range of fields such as health and early years. We have a busy and exciting program of events and this includes activities, which increase the involvement of fathers. Early Years sessions are delivered by The Education Development Trust. Why not book our sensory room - all FREE just call the centre to book.

We have access to Support for Children with Additional Needs at every centre. Please contact the Customer Service Centre on 01522 782111 to book an appointment. For more information click on the link in our related pages section for printable information

You can access the Centre by pressing the buzzer where you can speak to a team member who will enable you to enter the reception area and to be greeted by our friendly staff. We have no designated parking area, however there is a pay and display car park opposite the centre and short stay street parking nearby.

Monday

10:00 - 11:30: Come and Play Together - 0 to 5 Years (School Holidays 0 to 8 years)

A chance for you and your child to play together and discover a range of different play activities which promote Independence, confidence and social skill

Monday 10th April: Top Tips for babies 3-4 months group session run by the NHS. By appointment only please call 01205 319899 to book

Topics covered are: Weaning, Immunisations, Oral Health and Dental Care, Healthy Living, Accident Prevention, Minor Illnesses and how to access support.

3rd April - 12:00 - 16:00 Magical Memories Photo Shoot with the theme Easter Eggs and Bunnies. Call Emily on 01205 355088 to book a slot. This is a fee paying session.

Tuesday

09:00 - 16:30: Development Reviews

Child reviews run by the Health Team. Call 01522 308800 to book an appointment. (Booking required).

4th April: 13:00 - 15:00: Neonatal Support Group*

For parents of Premature and sick babies. A great opportunity for families to meet up with others who have shared similar experiences. Call 01205 319899 for more details. Held at the Pilgrim Hospital (Booking required).

10:00 - 10:45 Rhymetime held at Boston Library 0 - 5 years. No need to book and all FREE

Wednesday

09:30 - 10:15: Growing Talk Toddlers

Listen to your child’s talking grow as they sing along to their favourite rhymes. They will ride on a magic carpet, sprinkle magic dust and meet Mykey who is our resident puppet. (Term time only. In school holidays session will be Come and Play 0 - 8 years)

10:45 - 11:15: Growing Talk Babies (non walkers)

Listen to your child’s talking grow as they sing along to their favourite rhymes. They will ride on a magic carpet, sprinkle magic dust and meet Mykey who is our resident puppet. (Term time only. In school holidays session will be Come and Play 0 - 8 years)

13:00 - 14:00: Movers and Shakers

A fun interactive group to enhance young children’s physical development, communication and language through music, songs and dance. A great way to promote a healthy lifestyle for your children 0 - 5 years. (In school holidays 0 - 8 years)

Thursday

10:00 - 11:30: Multi-National Group (no sessions on 6th and 13th April - half term)

Come and meet families from different cultures for craft activities, stories and lots of fun.

13:00 - 14:00 Story Box - 0 - 5 years In the School Holidays 0 - 8 years

Session to support children’s reading and understanding stories. They will be able to use their imagination and use to make props to bring the story to life. Story Sacks will be available to loan to take home every week

6th and 13th April - 14:30 - 16:00 - Parent and Carer Information Drop In.

Find out about local Parenting Programmes, clubs and activities. Managing child behaviour and looking after yourself. No booking just drop in for refreshments and a chat.

Fridays

09:30 - 10:30: Learning Together Babies 0 - 12 months (no session on 14th April)

A chance for you and your child to play together and discover a range a different play activities which promote independence, confidence and social skills.

11:00 - 12:00: Learning Together Tweenies 12-18 months (no session on 14th April)

A chance for you and your child to play together and discover a range a different play activities which promote independence, confidence and social skills.

13:00 - 14:00: Snuggles and Smiles Baby Massage and Yoga. Booking Essential and Payment required in advance.

10:00 - 12:00: Family and Dads Group

Family fun time and dads stay and play group becomes one. Different themed session each week. Newsletters available.
