Boston Children's Centre

Our well-resourced and welcoming Centre offers many services and opportunities for families with children of 0 - 5 years.

As well as lots of play and fun activities for children Norfolk Lodge Road Children’s Centre is committed to supporting parents and carers regardless of background or family circumstances, offering information and support from professionals working in a wide range of fields such as health and early years. We have a busy and exciting program of events and this includes activities, which increase the involvement of fathers. Early Years sessions are delivered by The Pre-School Learning Alliance. We have access to Support for Children with Additional Needs at every centre. Please contact the Customer Service Centre on 01522 782111 to book an appointment. For more information click on the link in our related pages section for printable information

You can access the Centre by pressing the buzzer where you can speak to a team member who will enable you to enter the reception area and to be greeted by our friendly staff. We have no designated parking area, however there is a pay and display car park opposite the centre and short stay street parking nearby.

Monday

10:00 - 11:00 Learning Through Play

This drop in session provides a variety of activities for children to explore supporting children’s changing needs and interests, the session offers an opportunity for parents, carers and children to discover and explore a wide range of play activities together, encouraging children’s independence, confidence and social skills. 0-5 years.

13:00 - 14:00 Top Tips for 3 - 4months

13th November

This group session includes when to commence solid food, immunisations, oral health and dental care, healthy living, accident prevention and minor illnesses and how to access support. Please book by calling 01205 319899

13:30 - 14:30 Quiet Time

Referral Only
Quiet Time sessions are a time within the centre were families new to the Children’s Centre are offered opportunities to use Children’s Centre resources on a more one to one, or small group basis. 0-5 years.

12:00 - 16:00 Magical Memories Photoshoot

13th & 27th November - 12 noon until 4 pm
FEE payable photoshoot session. For futher enquiries or bookings, please contact Emily Vickers directly on 01205 355088, e-mail: emilyvickers@outlook.com. Theme is Autumn.

09:30 - 10:15 Growing Talk Babies

Listen to your child’s talking grow as they sing along to their favourite rhymes. They will ride on a magic carpet, sprinkle magic dust and meet Mykey who is our resident puppet.

11:00 - 11:45 Growing Talk Toddlers

Listen to your child’s talking grow as they sing along to their favourite rhymes. They will ride on a magic carpet, sprinkle magic dust and meet Mykey who is our resident puppet.This is for non walkers.

14:00 - 16:00 Antenatal Top Tips

Getting to know your baby and becoming a parent, preparation for labour and birth, caring in the early days, feeding and knowing baby’s first language. Please contact 01205 319899 to book a place

10:00 - 11:30 Multi-National Group

Come and meet families from different cultures for craft activities, stories and lots of fun.

12:00 - 15:00 Emergancy Paediatric First Aid Course

13:00 - 14:00 Rhyme Time

A song and rhyme session focusing on supporting children’s early communication skills. During the session children will have the opportunity to sing along to their favourite songs and rhymes using a variety of props and resources. 0-5 years.

15:30 - 16:30 Baby Massage

Starts 9th November for 6 weeks - 15:30 - 16:30

09:30 - 10:30 Learning Together Babies

Learning together babies offers a variety of activities including messy play, talk time and songs and stories to support babies’ early development, by building their confidence as they learn to explore. For babies not yet walking.

11:00 - 12:00 Learning Together Toddlers

Learning together toddler offers a variety of activities including messy play, talk time and songs and stories to support children’s development, by building their confidence as they learn to explore. Walking to 3 years.

Saturday

10:00 - 11:30 Weekend Fun

A fun session for the whole family to come and enjoy, a variety of activities will be on offer such as messy play, gardening and cooking A light brunch is included, prepared by the families who attend, promoting healthy lifestyles in a fun way with the whole family.
