Bourne Children's Centre

Our centre is located next to Bourne Leisure Centre and has a large designated car park that is easily accessible from Queens Road.  The Children’s Centre Reception area is shared with Bourne Youth Centre.

Most of our activities take place in our bright and spacious Family Room which includes an outside, undercover play area. We also have a Training Room, which holds up to 10/12 people for meetings and Adult Learning. This room is adaptable for any given purpose or activity. 

Wi-Fi access is also available at the Centre. Our Family Room can be set out in a wide variety of layouts to suit the activities taking place.

A drop in session that provides a variety of activities for children to explore with their parents or carers which encourage childrens independence and confidence.

Invitation only session for families eligible to apply for the Two Years Old Early Years Entitlement.

13:30 - 14:30 - Learning Together Babies (For babies not yet walking) Last session 12th December

This group offers a variety of activities including messy play, talk time and songs & stories to support babies’ early development, by building their confidence as they learn to explore.

10:00 - 11:00 - Learning Together Toddler (from walking) Last session 14th December

This session offers a variety of activities including messy play, talk time and songs & stories to support children’s development, by building their confidence as they learn to explore.

11:30 - 12:30 - Keepsakes - Last session 14th December

This is a invitation only session to introduce new families into the Children’s Centre. This session will run over 6 weeks and will offer the families an opportunity to make a variety of ‘keepsake’ items such as hand and foot prints or learning journeys which they can take home.

13:30 - 14:15 - Rhyme Time (0 - 5 years) Last session 14th December

A song and rhyme session focusing on supporting children’s early communication skills. During the session children will have the opportunity to sing along to their favourite songs and rhymes using a variety of props and resources.

A sensory and messy play session providing materials of differing textures, temperatures and consistencies for children to explore, supporting their development and growing confidence.

11:30 - 12:30 - Baby Massage (Charge Applies) Re-starting in January

13:00 - 14:00 - Bumps to Babies - Last session 15th December

This relaxed & friendly session supports both pregnant mums and new parents, the session focuses on the needs and requests of the families attending. There are lots of resources such as treasure baskets, cosy areas and sensory materials which will allow new babies to develop theirl curiosity in a safe & secure environment.

13:00 - 14:30 - Breastfeeding Support Group

For expectant and breastfeeding mums with babies under 12 weeks old.
