Lincoln Central Children's Centre

We are located on St Andrews Close, next door to Playzone.

At Lincoln Central you can attend a wide range of play and learning activities in a safe environment.  We offer something for all ages, from expectant parents, babies and toddlers, right up to when little ones start school.

We also hold free adult learning courses, each designed to provide additional skills and support for parents/carers, across a wide range of subjects.  We can also offer advice and assistance with job seeking and returning to work.

Monday

09:30 - 10:30 Learning Through Play

This drop in session provides a variety of activities for children to explore, supporting children’s changing needs and interests. The session offers an opportunity for parents, carers and children to discover and explore a wide range of play activities together, encouraging children’s independence, confidence and social skills. Suitable for ages 0-5.

13:30 - 14:30 Imps In the Community (Let’s Get Active)

Lincoln City Football Club will be running active play sessions at Lincoln Central Children’s Centre for under 5s. There will be lots of fun sporty activities for little ones to enjoy and burn off some energy. No need to book, just come along on the day.

Tuesday

10:00 - 11:00 Movers and Shakers

Movers and shakers is a fun music and movement session which supports and develops children’s communication and physical skills. The session includes using musical instruments and singing to support early language development and physical activities such as scarves, bubbles, balls and parachute games to develop co-ordination and physical awareness. Suitable for ages 0-5.

13:30 - 14:30 Learning Together Baby

Learning together is designed to support you as parents and carers to get the best out of playing and learning with your child. Activities include talk time, stories, songs, and sensory play. Suitable for ages from birth to confident walkers.

Wednesday

10:30 - 12:00 Big Cook Little Cook

Booking Required
Children and parents can work together to prepare, and cook a nutritious meal. As well as promoting a healthy lifestyle, children will enjoy cooking alongside their parent /carer while developing their motor skills.

13:30 - 14:15 Rhyme Time

A song and rhyme session focusing on supporting children’s early communication skills. During the session children will have the opportunity to sing along to their favourite songs and rhymes using a variety of props and resources. Suitable for ages 0-5.

Thursday

10:30 - 11:30 Learning Through Play

This drop in session provides a variety of activities for children to explore, supporting children’s changing needs and interests. The session offers an opportunity for parents, carers and children to discover and explore a wide range of play activities together, encouraging children’s independence, confidence and social skills. Suitable for ages 0-5.

13:30 - 14:30 Keepsakes

An invitation only session to introduce new families to the children’s centre. The session runs over 6 weeks and will offer an opportunity for families to make a variety of ‘keepsake’ items with their children, such as hand and foot prints, and learning journeys which can be taken home.

Friday

10:00 - 11:00 Little Explorers

A sensory and messy play session providing materials of differing textures, temperatures and consistencies for children to explore, supporting their development and growing confidence. Suitable for ages 0-5.

13:30 - 14:30 Quiet Time

An invitation only session where families new to the Children’s Centre are offered opportunities to use Children’s Centre resources on a more one to one or small group basis.
