Sturton by Stow Children's Centre

We are situated on School Lane, next to the Sturton by Stow Primary School. Parking spaces for Children’s Centre customers are generally available on School Lane.

We do have a car park with limited parking on the school site. To access the Centre, you come to the far right of the school car park. Please be aware that the car park becomes very busy with cars, as parents are collecting their children from school. The busy times are between the times of 8.45am - 9.00am, 11.45am - 12.15pm and 2.45pm - 3.15pm

A monthly calendar of activities is available for parents, carers or grandparents of under 5’s to access a wide range of free sessions throughout the week at certain times during Monday to Friday. During the School Holidays we offer a range of free activities and sessions for 0-5 years we endeavour to cater for older siblings up to the age of 8 years at this time too

The Centre has a recently remodelled secure outdoor play area with shade where the children and babies can play. We encourage outdoor play, whatever the weather!

Please Note the Children’s Centres last day would be Friday 22nd December and will re-open on Tuesday 2nd January. All groupswill finish on Wednesday 20th December and will return on Wednesday 3rd Janaury

Monday

09:30 - 10:30 Learning Together Toddlers

Learning together toddler offers a variety of activities including messy play, talk time and songs and stories to support children’s development, by building their confidence as they learn to explore.1-3 years.

13:30 - 14:30 Learning Together Babies

Learning together babies offers a variety of activities including messy play, talk time and songs and stories to support babies’ early development, by building their confidence as they learn to explore.For babies not yet walking.

Tuesday

09:30 - 10:30 Movers and Shakers

Movers and shakers is a fun music and movement session which supports and develops children’s communication and physical skills. The session includes using musical instruments and singing to support early language development and physical activities such as scarves, bubbles, balls and parachute games to develop co-ordination and physical awareness. 0-5 years.

Wednesday

09:30 - 10:15 Rhyme Time

A song and rhyme session focusing on supporting children’s early communication skills. During the session children will have the opportunity to sing along to their favourite songs and rhymes using a variety of props and resources. 0-5 years.

Thursday

11:00 - 12:00 Childminder Group

Childminders must be Ofsted registered
The drop-in aims to provide a relaxed and welcoming environment for Childminders and their minded children.

Friday

10:00 - 11:00 Learning Through Play

This drop in session provides a variety of activities for children to explore supporting children’s changing needs and interests, the session offers an opportunity for parents, carers and children to discover and explore a wide range of play activities together, encouraging children’s independence, confidence and social skills. 0-5 years

Saturday

10:00 - 11:30 Weekend Fun

Held at Gainsborough North Marsh Children’s Centre
A fun session for the whole family to come and enjoy, a variety of activities will be on offer such as messy play, gardening and cooking A light brunch is included, prepared by the families who attend, promoting healthy lifestyles in a fun way with the whole family. 0-5 years.
